Physiotherapy students are drowning in outdated PDFs, dense textbooks, and zero feedback loops. The goal of this project was to design a modern learning experience that’s visual, interactive, and actually built around how students retain complex info.
Scope of work
Mapped student pain points through user interviews and competitive analysis. Structured the entire experience around micro-learning, knowledge recall, and low-friction interaction patterns.
Crafted a visual identity that feels clinical and clear. Designed with accessibility in mind, high contrast, simple layouts, and consistent interaction patterns to reduce fatigue during long study sessions.
Built a robust component library with reusable UI elements for cards, quizzes, timers, and progress states, enabling the dev team to scale rapidly without breaking consistency.
Design Principles
Visual-first learning
Physiotherapy is deeply anatomical. Using illustrations, motion graphics, and visuals over text helps students understand body mechanics faster.
Progressive disclosure
Don’t overwhelm users. Start simple and gradually reveal more complex details as users go deeper into a topic or case.
Gamified motivation
Retention can drop fast without reward loops. Use points, badges, and challenges to nudge consistent learning without feeling like school.
Clinical relevance
Tie every module or flashcard to real-world physiotherapy scenarios. This helps learners see the "why" behind what they're memorizing.
